This tour features a 3-hour orientation to Florence. Groups arrive from the port of Livorno directly to Florence at 9.30am.

Your guide will meet you at your scheduled meeting place, at which point your orientation tour will begin. Our 3- hour walking tour aims to give you an in-depth understanding of the ancient city with its magnificent Cathedral, the Duomo, and the neighbouring Baptistry that boasts Ghiberti’s exquisite bronze doors.

We begin inside the Duomo, where we will admire Brunelleschi’s architectural mastery in building the dome. We proceed to some of the city’s most stunning piazzas, beginning with Santa Croce, home to some of Giotto’s most beautiful frescoes. 
In Santa Croce we will also see the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli.

We continue on to Piazza della Signoria, the city’s historical and still-current political center. Here we will view the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, former residence of the Medici family. 
We will then walk down to the Ponte Vecchio with its magnificent jeweler’s shops and breathtaking views. We will finish our tour by heading to the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo’s David and other selected works. By having pre-booked tickets, we will jump the queues



Details:

We suggest private round-trip transportation, because it is much easier to have a private driver meet you at the port instead of travelling mixed together with large groups on big buses.
We suggest a 3-hour walking tour with a guide, and after that you can have time on your own for shopping or wandering around before meeting up with the driver again for the return to the port in Livorno.
You can also stop off in Pisa on the way back, on request.

The cost of the guided tour is € 60 per hr - not per person - up to 10 ppl
The cost of the tour does not include the entrance fees to museums because they can fluctuate.
