St Mark’s Basilica with the spiritual, all-pervading light of its golden mosaics,
with its sumptuously colored marble floor, will introduce the theme of Venice’s
intense relations with Constantinople and the Eastern world.

We shall then enter the Doge’s Palace, seat of the Venetian power for over nine
centuries, where you will learn about the rise, long life, and fall of „La Serenissima“,
the Most Serene Venetian Republic. admire powerful artworks by
JacopoTintoretto, Paolo Veronese, Jacopo Sansovino and more.


Cross the Bridge of Sighs we'll visit the “New”Prisons, a separate building
designed at the end of the 16th century to be a more humane and functional
jail, in use until 1922!

This tour lasts three hours

Cost: 225 euros for closed parties or families up to six people

no shorts (knee high is ok)
no sleeveless (short sleeves are fine)
